by @sacred_ghost_haunts, a prop maker that has only started posting this year. Definitely an artist to watch out for. This old-looking ghost prop was especially exciting to me, but they have many other cool works you can check out on their Instagram.

True love
"True love is like ghosts, which everyone talks about and few have seen"
- François de La Rochefoucauld
I'm finding these two chicken wire ghosts inexplicably compelling. I think it's partially due to the fact that this picture was taken during daylight hours, seemingly near sunset. I also think it's because there is a clear relationship between these two; they aren't the usual solitary figures. There's a story in there somewhere, the details of which we can never fully know.
Picture found on Pinterest. I could not track down the original source anywhere.

“One grave in every graveyard...”
“One grave in every graveyard belongs to the ghouls. Wander any graveyard long enough and you will find it - water stained and bulging, with cracked or broken stone, scraggly grass or rank weeds about it, and a feeling, when you reach it, of abandonment.”
- Neil Gaiman, The Graveyard Book

Listening to: Nautical Nights
by Stevan Pasero/Michael Becker
More relaxing music to help me stay sane throughout the week. This song is flowing and drone-y but has a definite melodic structure that implies an amount of mystery that is oddly comforting. It makes me want to go night crawling and discover parts of the city I've never seen before (as was the case when I took this photo)

“The Switch”
A beautiful post over at the blog Petrichor and Pumpkins. Nebulosus' words encapsulate how I start to feel this time of year, deep in my bones.
Only 86 days, friends.

The Orange Ones
And they- the orange ones, large and small
who all sleep in their earthly beds
will soon wake and open their triangle eyes
once the primordial fire spreads.
